Cold email volume calculator.
Work a monthly sending goal back to the mailboxes and domains it needs, and the plan that covers it. Or start from a meetings target. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Every campaign step counts as a send, so a four-step campaign to 10,000 people is 40,000 sends.
Both rates are yours to set. If you do not know them yet, the defaults are a conservative starting point.
A general guideline, not a HotHawk setting.
Fewer per domain limits the damage if one gets into trouble.

How to read your results
Mailboxes is your daily volume divided by the per-mailbox figure. This is the number people underestimate most. Serious outbound is a lot of mailboxes each sending a little, not a few sending a lot, because providers judge each mailbox on its own behaviour.
Domains spreads those mailboxes out. Reputation attaches to the domain, so if one domain gets into trouble, every mailbox on it is affected. More domains costs more and limits that blast radius.
A day is the figure to sanity-check against reality. If it looks high, remember every campaign step counts, and that you climb to it over a warmup ramp rather than starting there. The email warmup calculator shows that ramp.
Plan is the cheapest HotHawk plan whose included sends cover your monthly total, with bolt-ons added above the top plan. Mailboxes, leads, seats and warmup are unlimited on all of them, with a fair-use ceiling of 25,000 mailboxes connected at once, so the mailbox count above never changes your bill.
One thing worth saying plainly: HotHawk does not sell mailboxes or domains. This tells you how many you need. You buy them from Google or Microsoft directly, or from a mailbox provider, and connect them. Your sender reputation then lives on your own domains rather than in a shared platform pool.

Cold email volume questions
How many mailboxes do I need for cold email?
Divide your daily sending target by a sensible per-mailbox daily figure. The calculator defaults to 30 a day per mailbox, a widely used and deliberately conservative guideline rather than a rule. Sending 1,000 a day at that rate needs about 34 mailboxes. Always scale by adding mailboxes rather than pushing a few of them harder.
How many mailboxes should I put on one domain?
Three is a common default, and the calculator uses it. The reasoning is blast radius: reputation attaches to the domain, so if a domain gets into trouble every mailbox on it is affected. Spreading across more domains costs more but limits the damage from any one of them going wrong.
Does HotHawk sell the mailboxes and domains?
No. HotHawk is the software that sends from them, warms them and manages the replies. You buy your own domains and mailboxes, from Google or Microsoft directly or from a mailbox provider, and connect them. That is deliberate: your sender reputation stays yours, on your own domains, rather than sitting in a shared platform pool where one bad sender can drag everyone down.
What counts as a send?
One email that goes out, and every step of a campaign counts. A four-step campaign delivered to one prospect is four sends, not one. That matters here, because a 10,000-contact campaign with four steps is 40,000 sends, not 10,000.
What if I need more volume than the top plan?
Bolt-ons stack. Each one adds 100,000 sends for $70 a month and you can add as many as you need on any plan, so you are not forced up a tier to get more volume. The calculator works this out for you.
Can I warm up all of these mailboxes?
Unlimited warmup is included on every plan, with no per-mailbox charge, for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 mailboxes connected with OAuth. Mailboxes connected over IMAP and SMTP can send campaigns but cannot join the warmup pool.
